Prima Materia ‘Cycle I’

In 2019, Prima Materia was awarded a residency at the 4-D sound space of MONOM at Funkhaus Berlin. During this time we developed a site-specific multimedia performance piece that made use of MONOM’s progressive sonic and sensor technology. We created a fictional storyline in which advanced technology merges with humanoid form, referencing a discourse on the evolution of technology and the human mind. The movement of the body in the space was the link that connected the sonic and visual elements; acting as a conduit to create a preternatural environment. The performance premiered at MONOM in July 2019.
